Quality Control:
We have a three phase committiment to our customers and those we serve.
Clean Glass
Many fab plants and window manufacturers prefer Pacific Glass Media over float
plants because of our ability to accept mixed colors and loads with foreign materials.
Float plants have much more restrictive standards then PGM on accepted loads.
Until recently we were at full capacity so expanding further into this market
was put off. With our recent expansion and ability to ship by truck and rail we
now have virtually unlimited capacity.
If you are a manager of a local fab plant and are looking for options for your waste
cullet please contact us.

Mixed Dirty
Cleaning dirty glass is neither easy nor fun. That being said, it is a core
facite of our mission to deliver as much clean cullet to our partners as possible.
PGM has made a big commitment to cleaning dirty glass both with equipment acquisition
and with raw man hours. 70% of man hours on-site are dedicated to cleaning mixed loads.
Since quality control is our number one concern, continued diligence in this area is a must.
We average around 90% recovery rates by weight on mixed loads. That is a significant
saving in landfill tipping fees.
Transloading & Logistics
With the current local supply of cullet far exceeding the local demand,
the need for diverse logistics is mandatory to insure the uninterrupted flow
of material.
Our private rail siding in Puyallup opens up markets nationwide.
Another important concern is the need for short term storage of large amounts of
cullet. Sometimes exceeding several hundred ton.
Our single stream dedicated rail site has the room and machinery to move this
material while eliminating cross contamination from non-glass material.
Partners in Trucking
PGM does not run trucks; for the most part. We have a DOT number but we
don't truck glass in large quantities and we don't offer trucking services.
We do however contract with several local trucking companies. Whether we need
roll-off/hooklift units or 105,500lb transfer trucks, we have it covered.
Our site is not open to the public, due to safety and contamination concerns.
So you will probably need to use one of our trucking partners if you need PGM
to service your company or project.
Glaziers
PGM does recycle/recover glass from glazing projects. We do this through our
partnerships with our haulers. At this time we do not allow individuals to drop
off material at our site.
If you have a project in the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia areas contact Brett at
BDM or
(253)312-2280 for quotes and details.
They will be able to handle all your needs, whether it's a one time project or
ongoing service.
Automotive Glass
Pacific Glass Media does not handle automotive glass at this time. It is a very
interesting market that we are looking into, we just are not too familier with the local
need for this service.
Since this is a specialized material it requires a large investment in new equipment.
To make this investment PGM would have to be assured of a large ongoing supply.
At minimum we would need to be assured about 150 tons/month.
If you are a producer of automotive glass waste and would like to discuss the local
market please contact Nathan at
PGM
or (253)208-6629.
